True story: Will Smith almost lost me a job. Back in 2004, interviewed for my first gig, at Vibe, and I had a (soon-to-be) boss who was a HEAD. She eventually hired me, but told me straight up that me liking Will Smith almost caused her to not hire me. Had to tell her I’m a Philly/Delaware kid and, also, he covered the first Vibe I ever bought: 5th Juice issue.
